Luna Verticale Floor Lamp 2 by Gio Ponti

This superb floor lamp was designed by legendary Italian master Gio Ponti and was first introduced at the 1957 Triennale in Milan. Its elegant shape is reminiscent of the moon landing, with its brass structure of satin-finished brass that comprises a three-legged base and a single vertical top that seems to be piercing the spherical shade in white plastic. The name of the collection, moon in Italian, is a homage to the evocative qualities and ethereal allure of our beloved satellite.
